We want to invite you to a moment of storytelling and start at the very beginning, so you can understand the full picture of our vision and how deeply rooted it is in our hearts.
The ‘story’ behind this project starts with a full Moon vision in August 2020, calling for a place in Nature that could welcome our little family. A few weeks later we were sitting in a garden in the north of Luxembourg looking at a building that looked exactly like the house that was drawn on our Full Moon intention including the river, the hedge and the veggie beds in the garden.
Back then we moved in with no further intent. Living here for some time we started dreaming about the possibilities that this place is holding connected to our dreams and visions. And as magic happens in some cases over the years this place offered itself to become the location of our big dream here in Luxembourg; creating the first active multigenerational space for community living with an educational garden project for all ages.
This dream is not just for us but for everyone who feels the same, for Mother Earth and most of all for our children.
Project description
Our local project "Haus op der Gare" is launched! It took years of committing, envisioning, and now after months of planning and engaging with local communities, the physical results of the education project is now coming to reality!
Conscious Movement is offering a space that values cultural exchange, honest conversations and best practices for sustainable and social innovation.
Very specifically the place is a 100 year-old listed building in a valley in the luxembourgish Ardennes, which is called to be transformed into a multigenerational education project.
This project is held by three main pillars: local communal living in solidarity, local resilience through community based economics, education based on needs and interests.
An inclusive community that welcomes everyone to join and participate. The project is a plan to implement and explore innovative methods of co-housing, economy and education, in order to inspire people of all ages and abilities to promote sustainable change in Luxembourg.
Community living, permaculture gardening, alternative outdoor education, human resilience and conscious consumption for example, are areas of introduction to teach, learn and experiment with.
The project is meant to become a meeting place for all citizens from the community and surrounding area, where people of all ages and from different cultural backgrounds come together. Our mission helps to break down access barriers and enable equal citizen participation.
The aim is to create a collective and transparent budget in order to fund the community project.
The cohousing project is open to everyone and accepts everyone regardless of their situation. The residents experience how they can help themselves and others by working and learning new ways of living together.
The project is introduced in recurrent info-meetings and events, starting March 2024.

Organisation
At this moment we are in the ‘hot phase’, like a melting pot of interactive and informational meetings. It is a first step of launching the financing process (crowdfunding campaign), and as a second step of the project the implementation will start.
As a first timeline until November 2024 we establish the financial resources to finance the living place through our non-profit organization, so that it can function as a secure foundation.
The second step starting in Winter 2024, we will focus on the practical matters such as creating a healthy and empowering community to live and work within the project as well as starting to recreate and structure the future garden. An innovative crowdfunding project
The campaign is launched on the platform called: Open Collective.
It’s more than a crowdfunding platform, it’s open source and it offers total financial transparency on the participatory budget and possible movements completed through the organization.
Since we are aiming for a participatory, sociocratic inner structure of the project, we want to start here with a full transparency of the budget as well as the crowdfunding campaign.
To finance the living space and to start the project we need to reach 1.000.000 Euro, plus several renovation costs and the financial resources for the educational gardening project.
Since the intention has become clear to implement a participatory sociocratic method for the project structure, we already want to start with this right here. Presenting the opportunity of collaborative and transparent financing of the whole project.
With much gratitude and vulnerability we want to share that we are the vision holders of a living and learning space in Luxembourg where young and old people from all walks of life come together to share, support, learn and inspire each other. We will be the ones that will work hard day in and out to make this dream come true. Not only for us but for everyone that wants to become part of it.
And we need your support!
