Community Support!
Published on December 11, 2023 by Micky Metts
Holidays are upon us and we have an "ASK".
We are reaching out to current members, seeking 20 people to commit to $15 a month for at least 3 months for use of the CommunityBridge video chat platform. If you are a contributor already, your support is greatly appreciated. Please see more on how to contribute through OpenCollective:
http://opencollective.com/communitybridge
If you are currently using CommunityBridge, and you can afford it, we hope you will help to keep our community running with a regular monthly contribution. We need people like you to support the continued operations of CommunityBridge. No, we will not just disappear, but there will be limited access in the future as we cannot do it without you.
Please pass this info on to your networks.
NEWS and ACTIONS:
We believe that cooperatives can be the first step towards our freedom in our daily lives. Due to the info on this news link, our task may be easier to bring this news home to people:

PSA: This is why I have a DeGoogled phone and I use Signal Messenger. People are going to jail based on their contacts, messages and locations. If you are in same location as a criminal, Apple and Google report this and YOU may be questioned. Orwellian stuff here that is now confirmed.
We will be hosting bi-monthly OPEN Town Hall gatherings where we will learn from each other how worker-owned cooperative businesses operate! Meet cooperators that are currently working in or building coops. Come share practices, policies, governance, structures, and how we use Sociocracy at work and play. Democracy at Work (https://www.democracyatwork.info/) is an inspiration and something everyone deserves!
Every other week, starting on December 20th, 2023 we will host a Town Hall gathering online at http://communitybridge.com/townhall
Pop into an informal, relaxed and lightly attended evening with introductions and cooperative sharing on how we operate as cooperators. being the highlight. Most Corporations do not share the details of their business practices, as they are highly focused on competition. Cooperatives have a different mindset and are all about sharing the details. The format will be flexible and at some events we will have guest speakers, panels, round-tables, presentations and and interviews with authors, cooperators and the people who support them.
