For folks who are familiar with CK, and what we do, we are excited to finally have a way for you to support us with a monthly, recurring contribution!

For folks who aren't very familiar with CK, we are a group of volunteers working out of a commercial kitchen in the Marcy Holmes neighborhood of Minneapolis. Most of our ingredients come from other community organizations who work to find homes for ingredients that would otherwise go to waste, and we strive to rescue and use everything we can, but there are still single-use to-go containers, silverware, water, and other odds and ends that we need to have cash on hand for. Proteins other than beans also tend to be hard to come by. (As a side note, if you have suggestions for where to get any of those things in ways that support local community rather than Costco, please get in touch!).

Community Kitchen has been in operation for over a year now, not just making and distributing meals, but also connecting other folks doing parallel work to our ingredient pool, as well as supplying ingredients and groceries to unhoused people who have the means and ability to cook for themselves.
