Year-End Update
Published on December 17, 2022 by Nikki Duffney
Hello friends,
Wishing you a warm and healthy holiday season and year end! The crew at Comrade Cooperative has continued to be focused on our core goal of delivering resources and food to our unhoused neighbors in the Denver community throughout 2022.
As the pandemic rages on, our collective was met with the challenge of maintaining volunteers and capacity with our core members. In the face of that challenge, we have been building community with other collectives actively working to meet similar needs through mutual aid collaboration. Comrade Cooperative is working with FoodNotBombs - Denver and Mutual Aid Monday to deliver on resources to our neighbors by aligning efforts to increase impact.
Mutual aid works best when many hands are participating in the work to share the load and allow people to contribute to the collective capacity. If you are interested in getting more involved, please contact us. In the year ahead, we look forward to welcoming new volunteers and evolving our methods of resource and meal distribution to meet the needs of our unhoused neighbors. We will do this while maintaining balance in our capacity to be able to deliver on our core goals of building community in Denver through mutual aid, with a focus on food equity, accessibility, and survival resources.
