In fulfilling our potential we feel joy. We feel joy when we can love, plan, and create. Joy is the affect which comes when we use our powers. Joy rather than happiness is the goal of life. For joy is the emotion that accompanies our fulfilling our natures as human beings. It is based on the experience of one’s identity as a being of worth and dignity who is able to affirm their being, if need be, against other beings and the whole organic world. 

Joy Bomb Social Center is envisioned to be a hub for radical, direct engagement with communal possibility. It is one part of a greater strategy to create pathways to utopian culture and practice in NWI. With communities working together, Joy Bomb can remain a permanent site of collective creativity, sowing the seeds of connection that can give way to a liberated world.
