About
Creative Resilient Youth (CRY) began in 2019 as an 8-session pilot program to introduce Philadelphia area teens to mental health, socially engaged art, and community organizing. After 8 sessions, the founding youth cohort presented a larger vision for the future of CRY. With support from adult facilitators, the program expanded to include an annual youth-led public exhibition and convening.
Today, CRY serves as a two-year art and leadership program, training Philadelphia-area teens to shape the future of youth mental health care and education through collective study, healing practice, and creative action projects.
