About

The Farm to Freedom Fund is dedicated to empowering communities by funding sustainable food distribution and Culturelle Collective's CSA program. This initiative supports local farmers, nurtures health, and promotes inclusivity, ensuring that fresh, diverse produce is accessible to all. By contributing to the Fund, you directly impact food sovereignty, drive positive change, and help create a future where everyone has the nourishment and resources they deserve. Your support ensures that Culturelle Collective's CSA thrives, cultivating abundance, diversity, and health in the communities we serve. Join us in planting the seeds for a freer, healthier tomorrow.
A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is a model pioneered by Booker T. Whatley, a Black farmer and educator at Tuskegee University. Whatley’s vision was to connect local farmers with their communities by offering subscription-based shares of fresh, seasonal produce. This model not only supports small farmers, but also fosters a deeper relationship between the land and the people it nourishes.
When you contribute to Culturelle Collective's Farm to Freedom Fund, your donation directly supports CSA purchases from local farms, empowering small-scale farmers and promoting food sovereignty. With your support, we ensure that fresh, seasonal produce is distributed to our communities, particularly those that have been historically underserved.
These funds allow us to connect the dots between local farms and community members, fostering health, sustainability, and inclusion. Your generosity helps create a robust food system, where nourishing meals and culturally relevant food are accessible to all.
