About
I'm a civil engineer with a soft spot for software. For over a decade in the AEC industry — across structural engineering, BIM management, computational design and project management, with a keen side interest in data science and machine learning — I kept reaching for automation for one simple reason: it consistently delivered better mid- and long-term results.
Along the way, I've met every school of thought on digital transformation. Early adopters brought hopeful momentum; seasoned, trustworthy professionals brought a more skeptical view, usually earned the hard way — brittle handovers, data lost with every import and export between flagship products. The famous "interoperability". Both convinced me of the same thing: our industry doesn't lack capable standards, it just lacks tools that make those standards a pleasure to use.
That's why I founded Aeclat: a web platform where AEC professionals design parametrically by connecting nodes in the browser, and get native IFC out — no exports, no lock-in — so what you design today won't be outdated tomorrow.
