This talk offers a deep dive into Bluetooth technology, with a focus on its implementation in Linux. We will cover: 

What is Bluetooth? A look at its purpose, capabilities, and where it got that unusual name from!
A brief history of Bluetooth, tracing key milestones and developments
The Bluetooth protocol stack—a breakdown of its layers and its various "profiles", answering the all-too-familiar question: why do headsets sound terrible when we are on a call?
Recent advancements in Bluetooth technology their potential impact on our lives in the future
Bluetooth on Linux—how it is implemented, including an overview of the BlueZ project and a comparison with proprietary alternatives.
