Draig Fest: Queering Lunar New Year - The Festival
A queer Lunar New Year celebration NEVER seen before in Wales! Y Teulu Teg invites you to an evening of vibrant fun and joy on the 17th of February. Expect workshops, arts and crafts stalls, and performances! This is a family friendly event with an exciting lineup for the evening including:
- an EXCLUSIVE human library
- showcasing local queer East and Southeast Asian artists and their creations
- Calligraphy workshop
- Tea ceremony
- Fun drag acts
- Music and dancing
- and more!
YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THE FIRST QUEER LUNAR NEW YEAR FESTIVAL! Tickets are £10 with an option to contribute extra for solidarity. Bring yourself, friends, family and allies!

- PLEASE DO A COVID-19 TEST BEFORE COMING. Tests will be provided at the event if you can't afford one. We ask everyone to stay at home if you are feeling unwell to prevent the spread of infection. Be mindful of people's need for space and ask for consent before hugging or shaking hands.
- The venue is wheelchair accessible with an accessible bathroom available. There are no gender neutral bathrooms. There is an outdoor courtyard where you can step out to if you need fresh air.
- This is a social event all about meeting people, both loved ones and new faces. Please be respectful towards each other; discrimination, abuse, and harassment will not be tolerated and anyone displaying this behaviour may be asked to leave to protect everyone.
- Ask people their name and pronouns and make an effort to pronounce each other's name correctly #SayMyAsianName
- Please respect the people behind the stalls, workshops, and the performers. We are all here to give you a good time! DO NOT touch or heckle performers unless you have been specifically asked by a performer to do so as part of their performance.
