About
The Drupal Diversity & Inclusion Group's (DD&I) purpose is to continue the conversation about diversity and inclusion within the Drupal community.
This collective is specifically to collect donations for the speaker mentoring initiative delivered by Jill Binder https://diversein.tech/

Drupal Diversity & Inclusion as a whole focuses on a number of goals:
š¹To provide a safe space to discuss issues of d&i within the Drupal community.
š¹To provide support for people who are marginalized in technology
š¹To provide strategies for increasing d&i of communities and organizations
š¹To share resources/education about social justice issues in our technological communities - d&i, equality, inclusion, accessibility, etc.
All of our work happens in the open in our Drupal.org project repositories (Diversity: https://www.drupal.org/project/issues/diversity or DDI Contrib: https://www.drupal.org/project/issues/ddi_contrib), itās available to be worked on. We love to see people in the issue queues, and welcome people jumping in wherever they feel comfortable. Our weekly meetings happen in the Drupal slack - we post meeting agendas and summaries on the issue queue.
DD&I believes that the Drupal community should be a safe, respectful and inclusive space for all participants. We believe that the Drupal project benefits from a diverse contribution pool and we strive to foster a welcoming and inclusive culture everywhere Drupal exists - at events, online, and in our workplaces. DD&I is a collective of volunteers that works to foster a network of individuals dedicated to equitable access and to create an inclusive infrastructure to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate and contribute.
