Thank you so much for your donations to the Grocery Gift Card fundraising effort that myself and friends put together to help out our Bronx neighbors. 

We also wanted to provide you with an update on our efforts for our first month of organizing!

Through our secured partnership with the National Supermarket Association, which represents over 400 supermarkets across the United States, with several in the Bronx. The National Supermarket Association has donated $2,000 to our fundraising efforts and is interested in raising even more with us in the near future! We are grateful for the donation and look forward to how we will continue serving Bronx families.

As we continue to serve families through mutual aid efforts, walking residents through citywide services, giving grocery gift cards and bringing bags of groceries to homes, we've also had some local Bronxites reach out with the desire to do more. We had a great conversation with local Bronxite, Deirdre Keane, an essential worker, from the Bronx, who is working out of 2 Bronx hospitals as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Registered Nurse (RN). She reached out to East Bronx Democrats to help fundraise to reach more people in need. So, she’s committed to running 1,000 miles and matching every dollar raised! We are super grateful for her joining the team in helping us reach more families.
