COVID-19 update
Published on March 30, 2020 by Andrew Durling

As the coronoavirus pandemic is sweeping across the UK, the Eastbourne Eco Action Network is having to shut down all its face-to-face group meetings in order to comply with social distancing instructions laid down by the UK government . However, the work of the network and its various Working Groups goes on, supported by the online digital infrastructure already created anyway to ensure that collaboration could continue in between group meetings.

So we have this message for all our members and supporters:

"We face what may be the paramount challenge of our lifetime in the COVID-19 pandemic. It is not going to be “business of usual” for a long time. Our recommendation first and foremost is to take care of your own and your family’s health. We recommend that all proposed meetings and contacts are now made via video conferencing and/or telephone rather than in person until this crisis has passed.

We have set up and are maintaining a number of digital channels and intend to prioritise these channels, allowing the ECO Action Network and its members to stay in contact. This action also demonstrates how a community network can build resilience and performance even in the toughest of times.

We can provide individualised help to our members on using digital technology for remote work and communication. If help is needed, please email ECO Action Network.

We hope that everyone stays safe and well".

Board of Directors,
