On Tuesday 7th January 2020 the Eastbourne Eco Action Network held its first ever Steering Group meeting. Representatives from all the Working Groups previously set up by the network gathered together at Eastbourne Town Hall to update each other about the projects evolving within the Working Groups and to co-ordinate with each other on preparations for the public launch of the Eastbourne Carbon Neutral 2030 campaign at the Welcome Building on Saturday 18th January 2020.

Councillor Jonathon Dow, Lead Member on Climate Change in the Cabinet of Eastbourne Borough Council was on hand to help liaise between the network and the council on all the matters discussed in the meeting, demonstrating the close partnership being formed between the network and the council.

The meeting resolved unanimously to meet on a regular basis, with the next meeting taking place in February 2020, with the main item on the agenda being the evaluation of the Eastbourne Carbon Neutral 2030 launch on January 18th.
