About
We are happy to announce the 26th European Forum on Urban Forestry that will be co-organised in 2024 by the Croatian Forest Research Institute, the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology (University of Zagreb), the Croatian Forests Ltd Company, the European Forest Institute, and the Croatian Forestry Society – section Urban Forestry. Co-organisers are the Public Institution Nature Park Medvednica. The Zagreb Tourist Board is sponsoring the event. The International Union of Forest Research Organisations (IUFRO) is facilitating this event.
The EFUF2024 overall theme is Urban Forests for All.
EFUF2024 is open to all interested in urban forest management, policy, planning and decision-making. This year we focus on managers, researchers, practitioners, consultants and representatives from stakeholder groups (e.g. lobbyists, envNGOs (ENGO), volunteer groups, etc.).
The language of the forum is English.
The Forum starts with a welcome drink and light buffet on Tuesday the 21st of May. The official start is scheduled for Wednesday, the 22nd of May at 09:30. The conference ends on the 24th of May with an excursion. On Saturday the 25th we offer an optional excursion.
Registration is expected to open beginning of February 2024.
The call for contributions and abstracts is open until 19 January 2024 23:59 (Brussels time).
All participants interested in taking part in the conference are required to register.
