Thank you for your generous support. and for sticking with us.
Time flies when you're having fun and that certainly goes for EndeavourOS.
It is already a year ago that we made our dream start in the Linux scene and although time went by fast, it was also a year of learning and realizing things that felt like five years. The one thing we couldn't control was the response and the love we received from the community. What is a Linux distro without the support of people who love the work we do and show their appreciation by donating their time and/or mone? We've already thanked everyone for their support before, although there's no limitation on being grateful and expressing it.
Your financial support this past year on our Open Collective account have exceeded our expectations, in fact, because of your support we now can afford a more powerful and futureproof server for our websites, mirror and forum.
Your donations will be spent with a great deal of respect, you can be assured of that. as you might have seen we already donated 150,- EUR. to Arch Linux and now we've submitted our very first payment of 507,- EUR. to the new server and prolonging the domain name contract.
As you might have noticed, the server and domain name bill isn't that excessive. Our goal was to search for a powerful server that meets our needs, but one we can easily afford with the donations already received and not with donations we might receive. We simply can't shut our eyes for the current state of the world, the coronavirus is leaving its mark worldwide, economically and personally. With this in the back of our minds, we owe it to you to spent your donations wisely and also to ensure EndeavourOS' future in the long run, particularly in stormy weather.
Now, this might sound as a doom scenario to you, but nothing could be further from the truth. Our appreciation for the trust you put in us by your donations is limitless and we do hope you will keep backing us for years to come, with whatever you can afford.
Thank you so much for your support and we wish each and everyone of you good health and the same love you're showing us in return.
