Pausing donations to the Evanston Community Fridges/Evanston Fight for Black Lives
Published on March 14, 2024 by Evanston Fight for Black Lives

Dear all,

We are sad to share that we will have to temporarily pause monetary donations to the Evanston Community Fridges and Evanston Fight for Black Lives starting tomorrow, March 15th. Our fiscal host on Open Collective is dissolving and we are in the process of finding another fiscal host. If you know a registered nonprofit organization that would be interested in being a financial host for the Evanston Community Fridges/Evanston Fight for Black Lives, please email us [email protected] and we can discuss the process and what it would look like.

At the moment we have plenty of funds to continue reimbursements, so please keep shopping and submitting receipts. Getting food directly into the fridges will be especially critical as we are in this transition period, so let’s all work together to make sure the fridges are being filled!

If you’d like to donate before March 15th, you can use this link: Donate:
https://opencollective.com/evanston-fight-for-black-lives/projects/evanston-community-fridges/donate?interval=oneTime&amount=20&name=&legalName=&email=

Once we find a fiscal sponsor, we will resume donations again. Thank you, as always, for your generous support and care for our neighbors.

In gratitude,
ECF & EFBL

Please consider asking Connections for the Homeless and Interfaith Action Evanston, both involving with feeding folks who need it in Evanston. Karen
