About
Why evlog
Digging through logs is not observability. It's hope.
evlog is an MIT-licensed, TypeScript-first logging and observability SDK that turns your application into a flight recorder: one wide event per request, ambient context via AsyncLocalStorage, typed error catalogs, and tamper-evident audit trails (HMAC and hash-chain signing) that work anywhere crypto.subtle runs: Node, edge, Workers.
It ships first-class integrations for Nuxt, Nitro, Next.js, Hono, Elysia, Fastify, NestJS, Express, oRPC, React Router, SvelteKit, Vite, Cloudflare Workers and the browser, and drains to Axiom, OTLP, PostHog, Sentry, Better Stack, HyperDX, Datadog, NuxtHub or plain files.
The evlog CLI adds something no other tool does: evlog map statically analyses your source code and scores how well each entry point is instrumented, before a single event is emitted, and can gate your CI on regressions.

Why fund it
evlog is built and maintained in the open by a solo maintainer with a growing group of contributors. Your contribution pays for:
- Maintainer time: triage, reviews, releases, security fixes, and keeping ~20 framework adapters and ~10 drains up to date with their upstream ecosystems.
- Infrastructure: docs hosting, CI minutes (unit, e2e and mutation testing on every PR), the public telemetry dashboard.
- Contributor rewards: bounties for meaningful community PRs and paid time for contributors who ship adapters, enrichers or integrations.
- Content: release videos, guides and examples that make the library easier to adopt.
Every expense is public on this page. Sponsors at the Sponsor tier and above get their logo in the README and on the docs site.
