About
Found in the garden of St Mary’s Welcome Centre, the Welcome Garden is a space curated and managed by an offshoot of the Extinction Rebellion Waltham Forest Guerrilla Gardeners.
We believe in better use of land and space - by people for people and wildlife, for health, for food, for longevity. Many of our food systems are broken, pushing poor land management, food that lacks nutrition, causing habitat loss and driving climate change.
With a wheelchair accessible greenhouse, a wildlife pond, an edible forest, workshops and many planters we have been busy since our inception in September 2020 to create a community space that is open to all who share our vision.
We are far from experts – those who join us at the Welcome Garden learn with us as we explore alternative ways of growing delicious and healthy food and medicine. We welcome all who wish to join us on our journey.
