News from Find Wellbeing through Art

Updates on our activities and progress.

Our first term was enjoyed by all who attended, but now we need help funding our second term.

About

In this community group for men and women of all ages participants are invited to make art and then share what they have made as a means to wellbeing. This is what some of our participants said about the group and some examples of the powerful and varied art they made:

“I’m feeling supported and heard in this art group. It’s helping me process where I’m at in life and keeping me socially balanced during the week. I’ve met really good people in my community and with having reduced mobility I have found friends to support my travel. …, the positive atmosphere and privacy of the group and the art created by others and myself encourages wellbeing and my continued attendance. “

“I’m finding the group really engaging and refreshing as it’s a multi-generational group...with many nationalities and a place where the people are very chilled and creative.”

“I was very grateful to be in a safe place.”

“I find the group supportive and inspiring.”

“I had been looking for an art class with therapeutic outcomes for a very long time. When I joined the class I discovered a peaceful group, which encouraged me straight away to express my feelings and my experiences. I live alone, and I can overthink, as a matter of fact, I’ve developed anxiety to a concerning level and knowing this class provides a safe place to paint down some of the hard feelings that I can't process that easily is great.  This is definitely a gem. People share with so much kindness.”
