October 2026 Update
Published on October 1, 2026 by Marcel Klehr
Hello everyone,
I'm sorry to be slightly late this year with my mid-year update. It's October already, and I'd like to share what's been going on with my personal projects. Here is my update of what I've done with the time you have helped sponsor.

Bookmarks for Nextcloud 34 & 35
In Nextcloud Bookmarks land, I've shipped a few small new features this Februrary: There is now a Frequently clicked bookmarks view that directly sorts by most clicks; the trashbin now shows a count of items it contains directly in the Navigation bar. I've also landed compatibility fixes for Nextcloud 34 and 35, plus around 70 smaller and larger bug fixes and performance improvements since the start of the year.
If you have ideas for or issues with Nextcloud Bookmarks, head over to GitHub and file an issue (https://github.com/nextcloud/bookmarks) and if you're a happy user already, you can make me smile by giving it a review on https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/bookmarks <3
Hello floccus v5.11
In floccus land, I've started publishing the v5.11 release series recently. The mobile apps now support syncing, displaying and searching for tags for profiles with syncing backends that allow tags to be stored. And support for Git sync has finally landed on Android and iOS. Additionally, I've landed large performance improvements for the mobile apps, which make it possible to sync 80k and more bookmarks effortlessly for the first time. v5.10 from July fixes a large number of accessibility issues in the user interface to allow even more users to enjoy the fruits of sovereign bookmark syncing. v5.9 from April this year features a Dropbox sync backend for the first time, allowing Dropbox users to sync their bookmarks with floccus seamlessly. Overall, I'm counting ~160 bug fixes in floccus so far this year.
I'd also like to share a great achievement for the project and myself. We won this year's Nextcloud Community Award with floccus! It signifies a great honor for me and symbolizes the traction that floccus has found in the Nextcloud community, with Nextcloud Bookmarks being a first-class citizen in floccus.
