About

Food Not Cops is a mutual aid project based in so-called “Burlington, VT,” on the unceded land of the Wabanaki Confederacy. FNC is a non-hierarchical, autonomous network of community members organizing around meeting the individual and collective needs of our neighbors, without precondition. We struggle collectively to create and maintain new social relations based in solidarity and cooperation, building capacity to sustain each other outside of systems of Government and Capital.

This project began at the beginning of the COVID19 Pandemic, as a partnership between Food Not Bombs Burlington, and BTV Copwatch. In the past 4+ years, we have shared material resources, advocacy, good company, and more, every single day. We have done this for free, to anyone interested.

We operate in solidarity with the broader ecosystem of Burlington mutual aid, which also includes The People’s Kitchen, Migrant Justice, Vermont Racial Justice Alliance, Old North End Mutual Aid, Burlington Tenants United, People's Farmstand, Community Voices for Immigrant Rights, UVM Empowering Survivors, and many more.

By creating networks of community care and helping to meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors, we are working to create a world without violence, scarcity, or coercion.

Daily Lunch & Supply Distro

1:00pm - 2:00pm, Burlington Marketplace Parking Garage (Cherry St. Entrance)

Everything we do orbits around our daily meal and supply distribution at the Cherry Street Parking Garage, which provides us space to connect with community members, build relationships, and ultimately figure out how to support each other. The best way to get involved in-person is to come and eat with us if you can!

We also offer distro orientations for anyone interested, please sign up here.

**Donations to FNC are tax deductible, with thanks to our fiscal sponsor Lucy Parsons Labs (EIN 81-3046769).**
