This is year two of focusing most of our summertime funds on sourcing emergency shelter gear for our unhoused neighbors. We started off this year in way better standing financially due to the Grassroots Fund Young Leaders Grant, and it's made a huge difference. Since this year started, we've been able to move more than 60 tents, 60 sleeping bags, 40 backpacks, and 20 sleeping pads. It's a little tricky to know the exact numbers as we get a lot of in-kind donations that make their way to distro faster than we can keep track sometimes, but we feel really confident that these numbers are on the conservative side.

We expect increased need as people continue to be priced out of their apartments by greedy landlords and kicked out of the VT-run emergency hotel voucher program. Your contributions are appreciated more than you know, and we want to relay the gratitude community members express to us whenever we're able to hand off this gear.
