Happy 1000 Days of Distro!

Today we're feeling so thankful for our monthly donors who are sustaining us over the winter. Because of you, we can distribute regularly-requested supplies like tents, sleeping bags/pads, hand warmers, backpacks, medicine, toiletries, and more to our neighbors, many of whom are sleeping outside in the cold.

Consistency and stability is a difficult thing to come by when being marginalized by violent systems left and right, so the fact that we are able to show up every single day (for over 1000 days now!) with requested supplies means so much to so many of our community members. We hear dozens of "thank you"s every day and want to pass along that heartfelt gratitude to our donors who may not have the opportunity to regularly come to lunch and see the smiling faces of appreciative neighbors :) You also deserve a reminder that you are part of something bigger than yourself!

Monthly donations also mean that organizers can take a break from persistent fundraising efforts and channel our energy towards more meaningful solidarity-building efforts. While redistributing wealth is an important piece of the puzzle, we also want to be MORE than just direct aid; we want to strategize around how to tear down oppressive structures and build something new in their place. To do that, we need consistent access to resources so we aren't spending most of our energy scrambling just to meet basic needs. Of course we have no paid staff, so 100% of donations are going towards just that.

As a THANK YOU to our donors, we are offering the following items to anyone who signs up (or already has signed up) to donate monthly:

  • $5/month = 5 stickers + 1 zine
  • $10/month = 10 stickers + 2 zines
  • $20/month = 1 hat + 10 stickers + 3 zines
  • $100/month = 2 hats + 20 stickers + 5 zines

  • We will be in touch over the next week to contact all monthly donors individually to coordinate when you can pick up your swag! Stay tuned:)

Thank you for building a more just world!

    In Solidarity,
    Food Not Cops
