What's Update Reminder and FAQ

If you have not already, please submit your annual What's Update as a public update on your profile before December 21, the Winter Solstice. Thank you to the 50 or so collectives that have already done so!

Can our Updates help us raise money?
Okay, this isn't actually an FAQ, but - Open Collective is working on an exciting "discovery" page for funders which will allow them to explore OCF's hosted collectives. Once this is complete, when you post an Update, it could get the attention of a funder! Stay tuned for more on this.

I can't see the "Connect" section on my profile. What do I do?
Go to your Collective's Settings page, select "Profile Page" and then set "Updates" under "Connect" to "Always visible." (see screenshot below)

More updates

1. Attend our Solidarity School session on Collaborative Funding tomorrow!
2. We are slowing down the collective-selected board seat process a little bit since the end of the year is quite busy for the board. A collective board member will be selected and announced in the new year, rather than by the end of this month.
3. The Techsoup pilot is underway. If you signed up, keep an eye out for communications on how to get started.
4. We've hired three new team members who will be starting over the next few months. We are excited to introduce them to you sometime soon.
5. OCF is trialing a new compensation process for its core team. Read about the structure and how we developed it. What do you think?
