Strengthening the youth sector through connection, collaboration, and action
About
We’re a collective of rangatahi running Gen-Z Aotearoa, a kaupapa dedicated to strengthening the youth sector through connection, collaboration, and action.
Our focus is on rangatahi who are already doing the mahi across the motu: running campaigns, mentoring others, creating media, organising events, or just trying to fix what’s not working in their communities. We’re building a national network of youth-led organisations and changemakers, starting with a hui in 2026 that will bring together rangatahi from across Aotearoa to share ideas, build relationships, and co-design a roadmap for the youth sector for 2026–2029.
This kaupapa is 100% youth-led, with a commitment to ensuring at least 80% of participants are aged 14–25. We believe rangatahi are already leading in their spaces, this is about resourcing that leadership, connecting it across regions, and making sure it’s heard.
