An in person, group coaching programme to help women in West Auckland experiencing hardship start a service based business
About
Hello, my name is Nat, and I am the founder of Girl in Motion, a purpose-led business that empowers women to start their own business, encouraging them to define and achieve success on their own terms.
I believe that every woman should have the opportunity to become her own boss and determine their future.
Inside Girl in Motion I work with women who want to start a service based business. I provide tools, resources and guidance to help women achieve their business goals. I offer an online membership as well as private coaching.
One of the ways I promote my services is by hosting free online events. And it was at one of those events where a new journey started.
A woman came to my free bootcamp where I was teaching the basic steps to start a business. She was engaged, asking questions, and watching all the tutorials, but at the end of the event, she didn’t sign up for the programme. So I reached out and asked why - her answer was that she was in an abusive relationship. She wanted to start a business to be able to leave her partner with her kids, but she had no access to money to pay for my membership. I offered her a scholarship to access my programme and she was able to find 2 clients within a short amount of time, which was amazing not only from a financial perspective, but also for her confidence.
This inspired me to think about how I could help other women out there who may be experiencing hardship. Not necessarily from a domestic violence background, but women who may need a fresh start for whatever reason and may not be in a position to pay for coaching.
And this is my reason for applying to join the Gift Collective - I want to launch an in person, group coaching programme to help women in West Auckland experiencing hardship start a service based business. I expect it to run for 14-16 weeks, working with a group of 8-10 women.
I want to keep the financial side of running this not-for-profit programme separate from my business, and I think running it via the Gift Collective would offer an excellent solution.
