About
Communities making important decisions often lack access to domain expertise. A neighborhood council debating housing policy, a civic group planning climate action, a governance team evaluating frameworks — they'd benefit from consulting relevant experts, but experts aren't always available or affordable.
Avatar SDK lets anyone create knowledge avatars — AI participants grounded in an expert's verified writings. Rather than pretending to be the expert, avatars speak as "students" who studied the source material: they cite actual work, attribute quotes, and never invent positions.
The Conversational Avatar Protocol (CAP) is an open standard built on MCP that allows avatars to participate in group conversations on any platform — not just answer isolated queries, but engage in ongoing dialogue alongside human participants.

Authors and researchers can make their knowledge accessible as a public good. The SDK handles corpus processing, vector storage, and grounded response generation — making it straightforward to create new avatars from books, papers, newsletters, and speeches.
