Hello from the Herne Hill Solidarity Fund,

Our fund has been on a bit of a journey in the last month or so. More Solidarity Funds have set up around London and together we have launched a Winter Crowdfunder with the target of £10,000!

You may or may not know that we set up with help from a couple of neighbours in South London – Goose Green Solidarity Fund and Peckham Solidarity Fund and quickly joined by Bermondsey Fund. The Federation of South London Solidarity Funds was born! Then came along some pals from Newham and Brent - gulp. We made the plunge (figuratively) north of the river. A quick name change later and we are the London Solidarity Funds. Don’t worry – we aren’t being absorbed into a megacorporation. We are entirely independent and work separately but share ideas and resources in the spirit of solidarity, like our Crowdfunder.

We are so excited to already have raised £3,000 to be shared among the funds. However, we are only 1/3 of our way to our target of £10,000. We need your help to get the word out!

Please help us get the word out by retweeting us or sharing our promo on Facebook. You can even watch and share this snazzy (cheesy) video we made explaining how we work.

Lastly, a massive THANK YOU for your generosity this last month. We are so excited to see new backers contributing to the fund and it’s made a huge difference to our fund recipients.

In Solidarity,

Ruth (fund admin)

P.S. We are always looking at ways to improve the Herne Hill Fund, please let us know if you have any questions or feedback - we want the fund to reflect the community of Herne Hill.
