About

Help for Ukraine Support Hub (Berkeley Vale area) was set up in direct response to the huge number of people displaced by the war in the Ukraine. Following the governments announcement regarding welcoming many thousands of refugees in to the homes of people all over the UK and the response of local people it became apparent a place where people could share questions, ideas, offers of support and advice was needed. HUSH is for Ukrainian people, hosts, friends and anyone interested in helping and supporting the newest members of our community.

We have an active Facebook page, will be holding regular meetings, sending out press releases and newsletters. The aim is for the community to help and support each other.

We hope to have funds to assist with helping adults and children to settle in to their new homes in our local communities. This may be helping with the costs of a school uniform, travel costs to English language classes, replacement of clothing left behind, SIM cards for mobiles and many other expenses faced by people who have left everything they own behind. A little extra support to help people find their feet.

Any donations made will be monitored by the HUSH steering group and used to directly support Ukrainian refugees as they join our Berkeley Vale communities. Fiscal hosting allows finances to be transparent and accessible to the community.
