While Hurricane Beryl's winds have calmed, the storm's impact continues to ripple through our communities. Homes were damaged, livelihoods disrupted, and the start of the school year is now burdened with uncertainty. A conversation I had today with one of our school coordinators for infant schools brought the plight of parents into sharp focus. The stories of how Beryl has impacted their lives were heartbreaking, and the uncertainty of when or how help might arrive is adding to their burden. Recognizing that a return to normalcy is crucial for children's well-being, we are focusing our efforts on helping 35 critically impacted children in our community get back to school. We want to give these families hope amidst the chaos and anxiety. Your support can make a world of difference in easing their transition and ensuring a brighter future. Thinking about repairs, recovery, livelihoods, and how their children will go back to school is part of the crisis affected families are facing. We want to alleviate some of this stress by providing uniforms, shoes, stationery, bags, and textbooks. This will not only help the children but also their families and the educators who are feeling helpless in the face of such immense need. Please join us in supporting our community during this challenging time. Your generosity can help bring hope and a sense of normalcy back to the lives of these children and their families.
