Food packages for Beryl's most vulnerable
PROJECT
Fiscal Host: Better Together Solutions
Hurricane Beryl devastated Jamaica's most vulnerable. We're aiding 8 families with monthly food packages (US$60 ea/6 months). Your donation helps them rebuild.
About
Hurricane Beryl intensified the existing hardships faced by the poorest in Jamaica, particularly vulnerable elderly individuals (80-95 years old) and single mothers with children. In Treadlight and Bush Park, Clarendon, livelihoods were lost and homes damaged, leaving these vulnerable groups in dire need of support. We have identified 8 residents who require immediate assistance.
For the next 6 months, we aim to provide them with monthly food packages containing essential items like bread, biscuits, cereals, non-perishable milk, pasta, rice, eggs, protein, water, plantains, and oils. Each package costs US$60.00, totaling US$480.00 per month for all 8 residents. Your generous contribution can help alleviate their burdens and provide vital sustenance during their recovery.
