Leadership Pod Discerning Next Steps

Dear community,
The Leadership Pod has met and mulled over possible next steps forward for Koinonia regarding our fiscal sponsorship. We left our meeting deciding to let the conversation "marinate" and we will regroup next week to talk more concrete steps.
Of the options we are discerning are:
- Seeking out a new fiscal sponsor. This will create a lapse in our timeframe for our ability to receive funds, but once a new relationship is established, we will continue to be able to receive funds. We can still distribute funds up until September without a fiscal sponsor.
- Become our own 501c3. This would require us to do our own paperwork, HR, etc. All the back-end work Open Collective had been doing up until this point.
- Put Koinonia on the shelf. We recognize the need for this work not just among those Koinonia has and is serving, but among the leadership as well. We are wondering, does the leadership pod, as it is currently formed, have the capacity to move in the concrete steps listed above? Is there an opportunity to model healthy ways of pausing the work in order for those leading the work to rest and heal?
