About
Kova began as a solo project by a computing lecturer who grew frustrated with migrating Markdown notes into popular slide deck software. Educators have limited time to prepare for lectures and lessons, so spending less time formatting slides and wrestling with third party tools is key to creating effective presentations.
Technologists are the other group who rely heavily on Markdown, for knowledge bases, README files, even meeting notes. This content can be dropped straight into Kova, or imported by URL, with slide dividers added and presented immediately. Knowledge base articles become deliverable training material with almost no extra effort.
As an educator, I am a strong believer that knowledge should be available to all. As an avid supporter of open source software, I believe this tool should be no different. Kova is released under the GPLv3 license.
