About
“The Llanidloes Mutual Aid fund aims to raise money for local good causes that provide activities in support of the health and social wellbeing of persons in need within Llanidloes and the surrounding area.”
Donors need to be aware that we now have to pay a 5% charge on all donations made through the Open Collective platform. The organisation that manages this for us (Social Change Nest) originally had grant funding to cover these costs, but this has now expired. Please also note that, when contributing by Card or Paypal, we are also charged a payment processing fee. These are generally 1.4% + 20p and 2.4% and 30p respectively.
Bank transfers via online banking do not incur a processing fee (but do incur the 5% charge) and are paid to the Social Change Nest, who bank with the UK based Metro Bank. If contributing by these means, you will be sent an e-mail containing the bank details and a reference number. This happens pretty instantaneously, so please check in your ‘junk mail’ folder if you can’t see it in your ‘inbox’. Please quote the payment reference number supplied when you commit to the donation - as this ensures the money is credited to the Llanidloes Mutual Aid Fund.
