About

The London Collective Investment Vehicle (CIV) manages pension funds worth £34.4 billion for London councils and invests £7 billion in companies enabling Israel’s genocide in Palestine. 

These include Israel’s largest arms company Elbit Systems, tech giant Alphabet which helps Israel surveil Palestinians, and US construction company Caterpillar whose bulldozers are used to demolish Palestinian homes. The CIV has admitted its “exposure” and says it is “monitoring the situation” but has taken no meaningful action to end its complicity. 

Together, we have the power to stop the CIV bankrolling genocide. The Shake The CIV campaign brings together over 25 groups from across London to take collective action to force divestment, both by directly targeting the CIV and via our councils - the CIV’s owners and shareholders. 

Alongside pushing for sanctions on Israel and using economic, cultural and academic boycotts to isolate Israel - and the companies propping it up - divestment is a key pillar of the BDS movement and a powerful tool to chip away at British complicity in the genocide.
