About Luanti

Luanti has a dual audience. Developers can create and share games. Players can use the Luanti client to find and play games, either by installing them locally or by joining a multiplayer server. The design of Luanti means you can play on a server without having the game and mods installed.

Luanti is relevant for more than just gaming - we have seen a lot of use in education. See the following page for educational case studies that we know about: https://www.luanti.org/education/.

What will my money be used for?

The aim of the collective is to support and grow Luanti. Currently, the collective pays for the cost of infrastructure and outreach including attending conferences like FOSDEM. In the future, we may pay developers and other freelancers to work on the project.

Our current expenses are:

Domains (4): $104.61 per year
Forums: €15.86 per month
ContentDB: £16.44 per month
FOSDEM: €1000 per year
