Lund Solidarity Collective for Palestine

The Lund Solidarity Collective for Palestine is a grassroots network based in Lund, Sweden, dedicated to raising funds for critical relief and humanitarian efforts in Palestine. We organize various community fundraising initiatives that also offer educational and social activities for the local population in Lund, such as flea markets (loppis), bake sales, or café nights. Our events also feature film screenings, panel discussions, and workshops led by activists, scholars, and individuals with personal ties to Palestine. Through these efforts, the collective creates a space for education and action, enabling community members to participate in Palestine-solidarity work while raising much-needed funds for the humanitarian support of Palestinian victims of Israeli occupation.

We operate under principles of voluntary grassroots organising and mutual support, emphasizing transparency and accountability in all our actions. Therefore, we use Open Collective as our platform due to its focus on openness and accessibility. All donations made to us are managed by our Open Collective fiscal host, Föreningen Massvis, but the decisions about how the money is used and how we operate remain entirely in our hands. We also seek to collaborate with local organisations in Skåne to run our activities.

The collective operates on a non-profit and non-partisan basis, meaning all raised funds are not used to compensate any members of the collective or promote any political parties or representatives. Apart from the costs of our events and administrative fee paid to our fiscal host, all money we raise will be donated to established humanitarian and relief organizations that directly assist Palestinian civilians in the West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon, and any related local regions.
