Makib Uddin Sikdar, Development professional from Barpeta, Assam. His commitment to serving communities that continue to face geographical, social, and economic marginalization has been rooted back to his own personal lived experiences. For the last ten years, he has been an ardent supporter of development initiative, which he led and supported numerous development projects that focused on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Nutrition, Education, WaSH, Health, Livelihood, digital literacy and other critical sectors in the Riverine regions as well as other regions.

Makib is currently serving as the Chairperson of Itamugur, through which he continues to work closely with the marginalized communities of Assam’s Riverine regions, advocating for their rights and ensuring inclusive and sustainable development.
