MAMAS End of Year Update 2023
Published on December 22, 2023 by Skylar Karzhevsky
Hi neighbors!
This has been our first full year with OpenCollective! Like last year, MAMAS working groups have put together a slideshow to answer important questions that OpenCollective asked us to report on as 2023 comes to an end. Images of the slides will be embedded at the end of this post. There's lots to read and see, so we encourage everyone to check out our first "Summary" slide, and explore updates from working groups that might be interesting to you! Transparency and accountability are important to MAMAS, and we are excited to share our wins (and challenges) with you.
To our grocery pairs and cash assistance volunteers - we couldn't do this work without you, and we appreciate you so much! Check out the redistribution numbers this year to see how you contributed.
If you have been considering getting involved with MAMAS in a big or small way, we have lots of opportunities with varying time commitments. Getting involved with a new group can be scary! We encourage you to reach out if you're curious. When we spread out the work, our network is resilient!
If you have any questions, comments, or ideas, please comment or send us an email at [email protected].
Wishing you all a happy and restorative winter holiday season!
With love and solidarity,
MAMAS
