Hello awesome supporters of Mautic! What an exciting month it has been!
Mautic becomes an independent open source project
By now, you may have already heard the fantastic news about Mautic’s transition into a fully autonomous and independent open source project. In case you missed it, you can catch up on all the details here:
The responses to the news have been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing excitement and enthusiasm for Mautic’s future as an independent open source project. If you have any questions about the process, feel free to reach out to me directly. I’m more than happy to chat with you!
Moving forward, we anticipate some significant challenges, but I am confident in our ability to overcome them. We have robust plans in place to sustain the impressive growth trajectory of Mautic.
If you are interested in contributing to the redefinition of our current governance model and community structure, we invite you to join us in #wg-governance on Slack (get an invite at https://mau.tc/slack-invite). We value your input and would love to hear your thoughts!

Mautic adopts the Open Startup model
As part of our commitment to transparency, we have adopted the Open Startup model and will be publishing monthly reports that provide a detailed overview of our finances, contributions, usage, and community health. Our first report is available here and you can access our reporting metrics in a GSheet here.
Please pay special attention to the details regarding GitHub Sponsors, as this may have an impact on the companies currently sponsoring us through GitHub. It is important to note that these companies may now be subject to additional fees.
Tax-deductible donations
We are dedicated to enhancing our support for our financial contributors and are actively exploring new opportunities to maximize the value of your contributions while also providing better benefits in return.
I’m excited to announce that in the first phase of this project, financial supporters in certain countries may now be eligible to claim tax back on annual donations.
Currently, eligible countries include the USA, Canada, Belgium, France, and most Eastern European countries. Germany will also be available in Summer 2023.
We have already had assurances from several sponsors that they will be increasing their donations by two to four times as a result of this opportunity - a win/win for both parties!
If you’re interested in learning more about reclaiming tax on your donations, please reach out to me directly at [email protected].
Moving forward, we are entering the next phases of this project, which involve reviewing the benefits and tiers we offer our sponsors for supporting Mautic, both for individuals and businesses. We value your input and would appreciate your feedback.
Please join us in #wg-fundraising on Slack (you can request an invite at https://mau.tc/slack-invite) to review our proposals and share your thoughts.
Mautic Conference Global 2023
We are excited to announce that Mautic Conference Global will be taking place on June 21-22, fully online via Airmeet.
We are thrilled to have received an overwhelming response from sponsors for the event, with only three Silver sponsor slots remaining!
Sponsoring Mautic Conference Global is an excellent opportunity to support Mautic while also showcasing your brand to a captive audience of Mauticians from around the world. Who knows, you may even find your next team member among the attendees.
Tickets for the event are now available for purchase starting at $50, with a Community Support ticket option also available. By purchasing a Community Support ticket, 50% of the proceeds will go towards supporting the open source projects we rely on.

Mautic 5 progress
Finally, we are delighted to report significant progress on Mautic 5, with several new contributors joining us in the past few weeks and making a significant impact on this important project. We extend our gratitude to the companies that have enabled their developers to dedicate time to Mautic on a weekly basis, as their contributions are immensely valuable.
Since the implementation of automated tests after the Mautic 3 release to enhance the quality and stability of the platform, we have increased our code coverage from 30% to 56%. This improvement is a testament to the hard work of our developers, resulting in a more stable platform and earlier detection of bugs before they reach our users.
In this upcoming release, we are also taking steps to align Mautic with the best practices of Symfony by removing and updating outdated code. This effort not only ensures compatibility with Symfony but also enables innovation and establishes a robust foundation for future growth.
We also have some great features that we want to include in Mautic 5 in addition to those we've already merged, so the more you can help us with testing, the more we can include in the release!

In conclusion
I am thrilled to witness the immense energy and enthusiasm within our community at this time, and I urge you to join us in any way you can!
We extend our gratitude for your ongoing support of Mautic. Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a significant impact, and we deeply appreciate your dedication to the future of Mautic.
