Sponsors update - August 2022
Published on August 4, 2022 by Ruth Cheesley

Hello amazing supporters of Mautic!

Another month has passed and lots of exciting developments are happening in the community as a result of your support.

Mautic Conference Global videos now live!

Our video recordings from Mautic Conference Global are now published on YouTube thanks to two volunteers who have patiently rendered and tweaked them all!

Check out the videos on our channel here and be sure to subscribe!

We are trying to get our monthly viewing time high enough to enable monetization on the channel, so please do watch videos regularly!

Our next in-person conference

Mautic Conference South America is starting to take shape, with a local team reviewing potential venues and putting together the event budget. If you would like to be involved please join us on #wg-mcsa on Slack.

We are all really excited to be bringing our next conference to Brazil, as the community is huge and Mautic already has a strongly established presence, but we do not see many of this awesome community engaging with the global community. We will be running a ‘hands-on’ day during the event where we are going to really focus on giving back to Mautic in all the various ways people contribute, hoping to kick-start engagement with the wider community!

Your donations help us to provide seed funding for events like this to happen, and to support local communities in organizing future events.

Our next contribution event

We will be joining with the Contribution Day at DrupalCon Prague and running a Mautic contribution sprint all day on Friday, 23rd September. This is free of charge to attend, and open to anyone who would like to join us. It will be a great way to get to know several of our community members. Drop us a line in #drupal on Slack if you would like to join us!

Mautic 5 update

Progress has stalled somewhat on the Mautic 5 upgrade work.  After a contributor has spent time in deeply reviewing the work required to update our front-end to use Twig templates rather than PHP (something Symfony has removed with Symfony 5) it is looking likely that we may have to reset expectations for a release date.  Several parties are meeting tomorrow to discuss the options ahead of us, and we will be providing a public update in due course.

If you have any developers who are skilled in Symfony and Mautic, we would very much appreciate their involvement as we have a lot of small tasks that need to be completed, in addition to some large scale refactoring which is outstanding.  Join us in #t-product and #mautic5 to get involved.

Education team progress

Our documentation resources are all getting a makeover, with Favour Chibueze working on the End-user Documentation (docs.mautic.org) until November with a grant from Season of Docs. The Knowledgebase is in the final stages of moving to a new platform, which we aim to launch this month.

We are also very close to launching a complete re-write and update of the Developer Documentation, partially funded through donations which allowed us to hire a developer on a part-time contract earlier this year.

I am excited to see this progress, as our educational resources are vital to helping people succeed with Mautic.

Thanks again for your continued support - it is very important to Mautic and we really appreciate your donations.
