Sponsors update - January 2025
Published on February 6, 2025 by Ruth Cheesley
Hello awesome supporters of Mautic!
Here we are in a whole new year and what an exciting first month we've had!
I've just published the Open Startup Report for January on the blog, do go and take a look at the ins-and-outs of what's happening in Mautic right now.
It's been some six-months in the pipeline and we've been working really hard to bring over all the existing content and also making sure we refocus our website towards a more product-focused approach. This will help us to tell the world more clearly what Mautic is, what its core features and unique selling points are, and importantly how to get started.
Take a look, and let us know what you think through the comments, on social media, or on Slack.
I'd particularly like to shout out the team who worked on this project:
- Mike Van Hemelrijck (funded by Dropsolid) led the charge by building most of the site in WordPress and transforming the wireframes into a stunning design.
- Achilles Poloynis worked on the custom development and SEO improvements.
- AJ Eccel and Ricardo Freire contributed through user research and wireframes in the early stages, providing invaluable design inspiration.
- Sven Döring has been focusing on analytics and data and fixing a few bugs along the way!
- Emily Wood, Ayu, and Ima-Abasi Effiong have done a fantastic job reviewing the content.
- Angelo Miloch laid the foundation with an initial SEO audit, helping us identify the key pages we needed to optimize and plan all the redirects when the new site launched.
Also a big thank you to our sponsor Hostnet, who have kindly offered to host the website for us on a pro-bono basis which is very much appreciated.
We've also released 6.0.0-alpha and 5.2.2 this month, which is a great step forward on our path to catching up with the Symfony Long Term Support release. You can read more about that in the earlier blog post here.
We kicked off our NLNet funded Campaign Library project this month, which sees two new contributors joining us for six months. David Jarvis (aka DJ) is working as a project manager and Levente Bajusz as a senior developer. Follow their Community Portal Assembly for regular updates on their progress and meeting invitations to review their work.
At the end of the month I headed over to FOSDEM in Brussels for a weekend of networking, learning and sharing Mautic with open source developers from around the world - I mostly spent a lot of time in the funding of open source Dev Room which had some insightful sessions, and attended social events organised by Google, Open Collective and GitHub which was a great opportunity to network with other open source maintainers.
On Monday I headed back to London for State of Open Con where I spoke about digital sovereignty and the importance of considering your marketing technology stack when thinking about this important topic. There was a lot of interest in privacy-focused marketing and we had lots of footfall to our stand across the two days. Thanks to Favour Kelvin and also to Joe and Nord from enable.services for their support on the stand!
We have a busy month ahead with our first Extended Long Term Support (ELTS) release coming out at the end of February, and 6.0.0-beta which sees us edging closer towards a final General Availability release by the end of the quarter.
Thanks again for all your support, I'm excited for the year ahead as we continue to grow Mautic!
