Melissa's current role at Gegen Stigma #MyBrainMyChoice is to support the founder and offer strategic advise. She has have worked in drug policy research and advocacy in Germany and Ireland and has contributed to an EU funded research project by the Civil Society Forum on Drugs. Melissas area of expertise is in harm reduction and decriminalisation as evidence based policy models, and advocacy for drug policy reform. She has also worked in harm reduction services and hold a certificate in addiction studies, and has contrituted to civil society campaigns for drug policy reform.
Melissa is also an advocacy officer with Doctors without Borders/MSF for equitable access to essential medicines and health care products.
Strategic advisor to Gegen Stigma #MyBrainMyChoice. This project aims to advocate for a drug policy that includes, not excludes people and fights stigma. It also provides evidence based information on drugs, addiction and drug policies and contributes to the public as well as the policy debate on better drug policy models in Germany.
