Nan Eileen Mead

 

Nan Eileen Mead is the Interim Executive Director at SPEC. She has been a member of The Buffalo Project since 2018, where she is responsible for the analysis of survey data and mentors the Buffalo Project interns. A longtime education advocate, Ms. Mead has served on several education policy and advocacy boards. A financial services industry veteran, Ms. Mead previously taught financial literacy to middle and high school students at a Harlem community-based after-school program and was an Assistant Coach for the Bronx High School of Science Speech and Debate team. Ms. Mead earned a BA in Politics at New York University and an MA in Social and Public Policy at SUNY Empire State College.
