We are a cooperatively-governed mastodon instance. We primarily serve academics and academia-adjacent people that are interested in reforming existing ecosystems and creating healthier versions of them -- be it academic, scientific, or web-based ecosystems. Our vision is to democratize science by lowering the barrier to entry to scientific communities and we believe in taking back ownership of our communities from for-profit corporations, to avoid constant platform migrations and loss of communities that have been built with a voluntary labor of love.

Your donations will directly support our ongoing server costs. Any additional funds will be disbursed transparently and cooperatively according to the consensus of our members.
