Got our first 2 donations!
Published on July 9, 2021 by Joseph Truax

I really love what I do. Unfortunately things have not worked out according to plan, but that doesn't mean that things aren't working.

In my last update, I talked about the mistakes that I had made. Now though, I want to tell you how things are going since that update (even though that update was just a moment ago).

We've gotten our first two donations from redditors who saw a post that I made with one of my ALT accounts (u/KindestOne). Their donations helped me to complete a vehicle that I have in the shop that will help me to finally complete the first class of the year. It really feels good to have people help you out in times of need. I really can't wait to be in the same position to do so for others when I have it to do so with.

The plan is to finish up the first class next weekend, Saturday and Sunday, the 17th and 18th of July. I've already reached out to my student and asked him to make those days available. I will have a monthly subscription to alldata.com so that we can fly through the reinstall of this engine. The engines already in, we just need to put it all back together and button it up. Hopefully Sunday night we will be able to start the Lincoln LS and then we can move on with our next thought; I believe that I want to auction this car off at the charity event so that we can hopefully fund this program further. We're trying to do something good here and we already know people appreciate it, I just need to have more people on my team that want to participate in the planning. It's hard to do this all by myself. Of course I have a partner but he lives in another country so when it comes to doing car stuff, he's not really available to help me figure out planning for day-to-day operations. I just want to be able to make a schedule and stick to it.

This movement will pick up very shortly. This program's a worthwhile opportunity for teenagers looking to get into this field and I absolutely love teaching and watching my students realize that they too can do this, that they can take engines out of cars and put new ones in.

So thank you for the continued support, thank you to our donors and we look forward to making this progress much further beyond where it's at.
