New Packet Radio and Go Box Deployment in Thailand Participates in the 2025 Civil-Police-Military Joint Operations Exercise
Published on February 19, 2025 by Watchara Amasiri

From February 1-18, 2025, the New Packet Radio and Go Box Deployment in Thailand project participated in the annual Civil-Police-Military Joint Operations Exercise held in Lopburi Province, Thailand. The exercise focused on joint medical operations involving civilian, police, and military units.

Key highlights of the deployment:
  • The New Packet Radio (NPR) Go Box was successfully deployed in the field, demonstrating continuous operation for more than five days without requiring battery recharging.
  • The NPR Go Box was utilized to link patient databases in evacuation zones and field hospitals, enabling seamless data transmission and medical coordination.
  • A significant number of amateur radio operators participated in the installation, testing, and operational deployment of the NPR system.
  • The NPR system was introduced to military units, field hospitals, and Level 2 Army Medical Units, allowing personnel to test and evaluate its effectiveness in real-world scenarios.

This successful field deployment demonstrates the potential of New Packet Radio technology in emergency response operations, particularly in disaster relief, medical coordination, and communications resilience. The feedback received from military and medical personnel will contribute to further refining and expanding the system's capabilities for future use.

We extend our gratitude to all participants, volunteers, and supporting organizations who contributed to the success of this exercise. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to develop innovative communication solutions for emergency response and disaster management
