Our Mission

At Teachers for Peace, we believe education is a fundamental right and a powerful tool for fostering hope 🌟, resilience 💪, and brighter futures 🌍. Our mission is to connect educators worldwide to provide free, high-quality education to children impacted by conflict and displacement. By empowering teachers and supporting students, we’re building a global community dedicated to peace, education, and opportunity.

Our Story

Teachers for Peace was founded in March 2022 in response to the war in Ukraine, and we’ve now been actively working for over 1,000 days ⏳. It began with a simple yet profound idea: to offer free online classes to children during a time of upheaval, keeping them engaged, hopeful, and connected.

Since then, we’ve expanded to reach students and teachers in multiple regions. To date, we’ve delivered:

2,289 classes in Ukraine 📚, supporting children and communities amidst ongoing conflict.
429 classes in Afghanistan 🏫, providing vital education in a region facing long-term challenges.

We are now excited to launch a new chapter in Lebanon 🌱, bringing the same spirit of education and hope to a growing network of children and teachers.

What We Do

We provide free online and in-person classes to children impacted by war and displacement, ensuring their learning continues uninterrupted during times of crisis. 📖

We are excited to grow our presence in Lebanon 🌱, working with dedicated local teachers and volunteers to provide education and hope to communities in need. Like our established chapters in Ukraine and Afghanistan, this new initiative will focus on culturally responsive programs and building long-term partnerships.

We connect teachers, students, and supporters from around the world 🌎 to share resources, foster innovation, and inspire hope. Together, we’re creating an ecosystem where education and peace thrive.
