We look forward to hearing from Gillian Dick, Spatial Planning Manager, Development Plan Group, Glasgow City Council:

Gillian will present the Place Based Approach using nature Based Solutions to deliver climate adaptive spaces and places, an approach to mainstreaming Nature-based solutions in policies and strategies. Reflecting on the use of Glasgow’s Open Space Strategy (OSS) as an example within the EU-wide Connecting Nature project.

Furthermore, we look forward to hearing from Jonas Troles,  BaKIM Technical Project Lead, Cognitive Systems Group at University of Bamberg:

Jonas will present BaKIM, a cooperative project of the City of Bamberg and the University of Bamberg, aiming to improve the care of city trees and wooded areas. For this purpose, a fixed-wing drone gathers RGB, multispectral, and thermal data, which are evaluated with different AI approaches. The obtained information shall support city arborists and foresters via a web application, which improves procedures in both organisations and continuously enhances and expands the database.
